With the posts came allegations of a state of emergency and pictures indicating overcrowded hospitals.
The Chinese disease control authority revealed a planned pilot for a monitoring system of pneumonia of an unknown cause.
According to Reuters, respiratory diseases are likely to increase in winter, and therefore, measures for dealing with hitherto unidentified pathogens have been set by the authorities in contrast to the situation at the onset of the pandemic.
