United States: Individuals seeking solace by the shore should take heed of heightened bacterial levels, which have led the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to caution against indulging in aquatic activities such as swimming, surfing, and frolicking in the ocean waters at five specific coastal sites.

The advisory from the department encompasses the following locales:

– The vicinity of Santa Monica Canyon Creek at Will Rogers State Beach (spanning 100 yards in both directions along the coast from the creek, proximate to Will Rogers Tower 18).

– Mother Beach located in Marina Del Rey (the entirety of the designated swim zone).

– Malibu Lagoon at Surfrider Beach (extending 100 yards along the coastline from the public restroom facilities).

– The region surrounding Santa Monica Pier (extending 100 yards along the coast from the pier).

– Inner Cabrillo Beach situated in San Pedro (encompassing the entire designated swimming area).

Recent assessments conducted by the county have revealed that all aforementioned sites surpassed acceptable bacterial levels as per health regulations during the latest testing phase, according to the reports by abc7.com.

Conversely, the department has rescinded prior advisories for two coastal stretches subsequent to recent analyses indicating water quality within the established state benchmarks.

The areas now deemed safe include the Temescal Canyon storm drain section at Will Rogers State Beach and the Pico-Kenter storm drain section at Santa Monica State Beach, proximate to Santa Monica South Tower 20.
